Welcome to our new digs! We decided that we were having a lot of fun with this and that we should get a proper set of tools and our very own web address! :-)
We hope you like the new look. It also has cool new features, like the category buttons along the right. Try 'em out!
It's a HOUSE! (A crazy house!) It's a WEBLOG! (Mom, that's an online diary...) It's a, um, HOUSEBLOG! A HOMEBLOG! A CHAOSBLOG? Chaosblog seems most appropriate for the moment.
PS - Thanks to AJ for the webhosting. If you're looking for a good service try him out at aefjdesigns.com.

Wow. It's so spacious and luxurious in here, A. Much cleaner and nicer than the actual house right now.
My husband is a computer genius, aided and abetted by his good friend, AJ. (And I also can put a plug in for AJ for fast, friendly and reliable web hosting! What a star he is.)
Thanks to A and AJ, you will notice on your right >>>>>>
that the Daily Diary, Restoration, "What On Earth?!", etc. can all be accessed separately. You can also click through the calendar, SEARCH, and if you click on any picture, a BIGGER picture will pop-up for you to look at. That will seriously speed up download times. We still have LINKS to our favorite forums and soon you will be able to sign up for an email to alert you to new postings AND be able to order an iced latte!
Well, okay. Maybe not order an iced latte. But everything else is way cool, yes?
Now I have to figure out how to use it. Back to the blogging.

What a hoot... you have made my day! I found your site through a link for "The Silent Paint Remover" and would love to have your real web address so I can keep up with your trials and tribulations. :) Our current home was built in 1952 and the one prior was built in 1928 so I can relate... F.Y.I. the black stuff they used to stick 1950's floor tile down with is called "Cut Back"... it usually has a layer of black tar paper, similar to what is used on a roof, beneath it to act as a vapor barrier between the floor and the tiles. If you are really lucky the tar paper is glued down with linoleum adhesive and that is water soluable.
Good luck,
Bess
