Well, not complete happiness forever and ever. But a little "whee, kicking up my heels" happiness for the moment. And that is nice.
Our very small dishwasher...She is working! And that is HUGE! Even though she is not. Huge that is :)
She joins the ranks of admirable appliances here at Chez Mess. Mr. Vacuum, Mr & Mrs Washer and Dryer and Mr. Electric Lawnmower.
A long time ago, I used to think that washing the dishes was soothing and pleasurable. Here, it is the battle of Sisyphus against grime and dirt.
Yes, it is tiny...18" across.
And yes, it falls out of the wall when you use it and has to be shoved back in again each time.
But it works! It works!

How come you didn't put any screws in so it doesn't tip like that? Inquiring minds want to know...

Because with the screws in, it wasn't working :) Figured out that, when the PO installed it, she crammed it into a space too small for it. When it is set INTO the counter, door won't close...DW won't work. Pretty argh, eh?

I have a teeny tiny house (not as charming as a bungalow, but from the 50's) and we had to remove our only drawers and cabinets to make way for our first dishwasher. What a nightmare! We hired a Handyman to do it as he was going to hook up our electic stove. It took him 2 hours to realize he could not hook up the electric stove and 8 hours to install the dishwasher; thank God we got a price quote before hand when we thought it would take 2-3 hours. To top it off, it does not sit right, it is tilted backwards which makes the trays roll back in when you are trying to load or unload, as well as leaving the wood in the front unfinished, splintered, rough and crooked - rather unattractive considering the combined price and the entire day it took. I feel your pain!
