Sorry. Short entry today. Work, work, work and the car was broken into. (They didn't steal anything, but we have to replace that window.)
We did find this interesting site from the City of Chicago that shows the latest crimes committed in each neighborhood as well as information on Community Policing.
More at 11.
(Well, not really.)

My sympathies...was it the break-in window?

Passenger side window. Strangely, they didn't take anything (there wasn't anything to take and perhaps the alarm startled them). Middle of the day while I was home! Cheeky, eh?

Yup. When it happened to us, I found the contents of the glove compartment scattered on the passenger-side floor. After swearing profusely and bursting into tears and just generally blowing it all out of proportion, I just couldn't get over the absolute rudeness of it all.
You don't live in Chicago without at least one car break-in. In our case, it took a decade before it happened.
