We are researching ways to restore the brick for the chimney and side walls, as well as equipment for (maybe) installing central air.
And not kill our budget.
And work outside of the house at our real jobs has been pretty crazy.
But in an interesting development, it is the thousand legger time of year again for all you fans out there. Here's the lovely speciman we found in the bathtub.

ooooooh, i HATE those things! i thought they were millipedes for the longest time, till a friend looked them up and proved them to be centipedes.
an interesting sidenote though: word on the street is that they eat cockroach larvae...so if you have centipedes, you should be roach free. small consolation, i know!

Hey! We have a few of these horrible, buggy beasts in our new Oak Park 'ouse as well ... I thought that Angus and Larry would solve the problem, but they are more interested in staring at them than eating them or killing them.
Since the cats are useless, I now think we should call an exterminator. Have you guys found any good pet friendly bug-ridding solutions?
