Killer house

Category: Daily Diary

We think that this house is trying to break us.

We are trying not to take it personally.

Now that MY back is better, Aaron has thrown out HIS back. And, at 6'7", he has a MUCH larger back to throw out.

Ouch. You broke my s-i-l. Put him back together please.......

MOM! You are SO transparent. Let's see...let's see...did you post when I threw out MY back? Hmmmm.... Nope.

There is a CLEAR record of s-i-l favoritism here! (Elaine, you're writing this down, right?)

DAD! MOM'S AT IT AGAIN!!

(mumble...mumble...would still be calling me John Michael if I hadn't hit puberty...mumble...mumble...)

Hee! I love family dilemmas online :)

As a fellow giant (although not quite of A's dimensions), I have also had back issues. Acupuncture and the Alexander Technique have been my saving graces or I'd still be on the floor. I highly recommend investigating them if you haven't already. Acupuncture has been my short-term, get me off the floor fix and Alexander Technique is the help-prevent-repeating-this incident longer-term solution.

Tony--

I think I remember that you and Aaron share the same build (it's difficult to look at other tall people and NOT compare them to one's spouse.) Meaning that you are tall but "in proportion"--limb wise--to your height. Aaron and I have gotten away from our workout routine with the house and all...especially the abs. So we are slowly working that back in.

This is what you are talking about, yes? Alexander Technique

Someone else suggested Pilates as well. I'm a big fan of acupuncture and pressure. We just have to find a practitioner in the area. Our pal, Erin Owen from Philly, is a "wicked good" holistic health coach who also incorporates cooking and her years of experience living in Mainland China into her practice.

We're trying to talk her into sharing some quick cooking/nutrition ideas for folks who are "in chaos" (read: home renovation) and may have limited time and limited access to cooking appliances (for example, our stove doesn't work so well, so we use the grill/the microwave/or eat cold food a lot).

She is one cool chick and whip smart.
