Even with a house in significant disrepair, tonight we have an overall appreciation for how blessed we are to even have a home as many people impacted by Hurricane Katrina now don't.

I have been thinking the same thing. Sometimes we joke about the house burning down and how nice that would be. The hurricane coverage has made me realize how lucky we are, not only to still have our house and all our stuff, but to have our family whole as well.
