We did indeed complete the trim finishing this weekend and got it upstairs. However...like Jocelyn accurately commented last Saturday, installing the stuff was more time consuming than we'd anticipated.
So, at this point it just rests upstairs set roughly in place. Here are the photos of where we stand as of tonight...
I'm expecting that we'll focus on cutting and nailing it in this coming weekend.

Oh, I can just smell it! And the feel of a room with no grit on the floor! I remember that wonderful feeling well. Enjoy your room - I enjoy lurking here!

I really like the color of the trim because it looks like old patina (at least in the photos).
I hope I wasn't a spoilsport at all, just have been there is all.
love the sconces also. looks like your vision and planning is panning out.

it is so close now i can just imagine how you must be feeling. have you bought some new bedding for the occasion when you get to sleep in the new space? so very excited for you. we have lived in our place without the trim and them without it painted for so long that when it was finished room by room it was so odd because we had been living in the rooms furniture and all for awhile already. Plus the painter(me) was slow to get the painting going. Was so tried after getting all the trim in. Still have to go back and stain all the quaterround. which since all the rooms have stuff in them we have to move all the funiture away from walls, you get the jist. So enjoy your space so smart to have it totally finished when you move into it. Congratulations on all your hard work. It looks fab!!!!

Wow, The place is really shaping up nicely, I've been keeping tabs on your progress ever since we put in the Unico system last year and found out about your blog. I'll have to stop by when it's all done. By the way, we are almost finished installing the 5 Unico systems in the Dewes Mansion in Lincoln Park.

This is an unrelated link, but perhaps something you may use in the future. It is for cotton insulation, safer than fiberglass. It's from recycled denim. They also have other helpful items, like cork, mesquite & bamboo hardwood flooring, recycled glass mosaic and recycled content lineoleum!
I had emailed you last year regarding Green Building methods, but I was so busy with school only sent bits and pieces of info. Maybe this link can help with suggestions next time you get stumped!
We're putting our 50's ranch on the market in March and moving to Chicago, my home town. Eventually we hope to find an older home & we plan on using some of your references to hire people to help - you're quite the resource!
Good job with everything!
