...your tablesaw spends more time holding dirty clothes than cutting wood.
Jeanne keeps reminding me I shouldn't have put it under the laundry chute... ;-)
Actually, the saw got a little attention this weekend and we even made it to the hardware store...twice!
Grandma and Grandpa took Grace for the afternoon Sunday, so we had a chance to get some stuff done. Exciting stuff, like groceries and taxes!
Actually, we did do some prep work for a few of our neglected projects. Menard's had a sale on hard woods, so we picked up some oak pieces to complete the upstairs trim. Even more cool, we picked up some parts to try our first woodworking project from scratch--a built-in bookcase in the nook in the master bedroom.

It's a pretty simple project really, but we needed a reasonable task to test our skills and courage. If all goes well, we might even tackle the built-in bookcases when we restore the living room fireplace.
Hopefully we can pick up the pace and have a busy summer!

Ah, yes. First it's the diapers. It won't be long before Grace starts throwing a few things down on her own!!
Love the nook! We have something similar in one of our upstairs bedrooms. I'm thinking it's the ideal spot for a gigantic chifforobe right in front of it...ya know... the secret room, complete with small fridge and TV! Ok, I can dream can't I?
Great post!
