"Wow. Your newfangled mouse trap must be very scary to mice. We haven't seen one since you put them out."
I couldn't answer him. I was too busy sticking out my tongue.

We had a similar problem recently, and I set out two of those newfangleds and four traditional snap traps. The mouse proved that there's no school like the old school. I think she could have dragged the plastic sucker across the floor, anyway. (We had a larger native deer mouse, not a house mouse, in our kitchen.)
