So, Martin and crew actually whipped the sunroom infrastructure into shape over three and a half days.

There was lots of concrete involved. Lots. If I had needed to bury a body where it would never be found, I would have been totally set. If. I said, "IF." No bodies were buried in the accomplishment of this project.

Here is one of the guys helping me out with a photo in the Hobbit-sized space under the sunroom. The look on his face says it all, doesn't it? He's totally laughing at me. He thinks I'm a nut. Join the club, dude. On the other hand, look at the cool tube-y thingies that the pour the concrete into! That's what I wanted a photo of.

See? Lots of concrete in the Hobbit-hole. You could build a skate park down there with all of that concrete. A teeny-weeny skate park. For moles. Moles with skates.

Concrete was poured. Concrete cured. The room was stabilized on jacks. They moved it so gingerly and carefully that we had only minimal problems with the new drywall in the sunroom. Then the permanent posts were fixed in place.

Afterwards, the GLB crew cleaned everything up. Everything. Cleaner than it had been before they got there. And insulated everything. That was a lovely surprised and something I hadn't expected. I getting all psyched up for a trip into the hobbit-hole to install the insulation and the 5 ml tarp on the ground and VOILA! It was done for me. Nice touch.

Sunroom infrastructure stabilized! Onwards and upwards! To the sunroom!

Wow, great! I really like getting structural stuff done, even more than the eye-appealing stuff.

Oh, pretty. Send 'em out to take a look at our foundation, willya?

And in return for their services, I can give them pointers on what not to do, at least, when burying bodies in the basement: http://quickerfixerupper.blogspot.com/2008/02/when-burying-bodies-in-basement.html

Okay, maybe not.

nice post, thank you for sharing
